Perfect Life

What is your idea of a perfect life? When do we say that a person lived a perfect life? Can you say that you are now living a perfect life? If your answer to my last question is yes, I am happy for you. Few people know the real meaning of life that is why few people fail to live it meaningfully. There may be several aspects of life to consider in determining the kind of life you encompass, like your faith, your achievements, your experiences, your predicaments, your kind of family and friends, your role in the society, your goals and your financial status, well these are just some. But as for me, a perfect life is defined by how you perceive and value the things around you. When you learn to appreciate and be contented by the littlest things that you have, that is when you truly achieve a perfect life.

I am thankful to be one of those that can consider themselves living a perfect life. I am not rich, I am not famous, I do not have everything that I want but I can say with full confidence that I have a perfect life. I am so blessed by God for having a complete and happy family. I have a strong faith in spite of all the trials I have had, the struggles I face each day and my predicaments in life. I am not perfect I commit mistakes but through it all I learned to discern what is right from wrong and my God never failed to forgive me.

We all have dreams and aspirations; some are attainable whilst some are impossible. But to dream is to hope and to hope is to strengthen your faith. Some of us may be living an easy life, some are struggling day by day to survive, some are dependent and some are independent. Some enjoy all the luxury that life has to offer while some have not even tasted a bit of civilization. Does these all matter? It is true that not all that glitters is gold. There are rich and famous people that are not blessed with a happy family, that are dying to live a normal life and that are simply not happy with what they have. Poor people are not always happy though, because some think and see themselves as helpless and pathetic. But if you will realize, it is just all in the way you perceive what life is giving you. Positivism is always the answer. If you think that your life is tragic, it will be tragic. If you believe that your are blessed despite all the odds in your life, you will be blessed. You should help yourself, motivate yourself, believe in yourself, never lose hope and hold on to your faith. Because these things are privilege that we can enjoy no matter what kind of life we are living.

A perfect life is not about not committing mistakes, sins or failures but learning and repenting from those. It is in the way you move on with life after every failure. It is in the manner of how you dealt with your sins after. We have a loving and forgiving God. In return we must also forgive those people who caused us pain, betrayed us and sinned against us. No matter how big or small the scar that they might have left in our hearts and in our life, the willingness to forgive should always rule, for we can never live a peaceful life and we can never  move on if we keep our hearts full of hatred and bitterness.

You see, living a perfect life is a choice. One must just focus on the genuineness of life's worth. After all, we only live on earth temporarily. So savor each moment of your life by choosing to be happy, appreciating everything, learning lessons, valuing what you have, staying positive when things do not go your way, standing up every time you stumble and strengthening your faith as you go along life's journey.
